Gifts to the Annual Fund provide the backbone of support for the ICHS Foundation. Your unrestricted contributions allow us to direct the financial resources where needed most to keep the Foundation operating and supporting ICHS’ health services.

UNCLE BOB FUND

International Community Health Services’ patient assistance fund honors Robert N. Santos, one of the clinic founders and the 47^th patient served by ICHS since opening its doors in 1973. Gifts to this fund will be restricted to providing financial support to the many patients at ICHS who are uninsured or underinsured.

“Uncle Bob,” as he is lovingly known in Seattle’s International District/Chinatown, is an activist who spent much of his childhood growing up in the International District. He led the community in the establishment of a network of affordable and language-accessible services that address health care, housing, mental health and community development. He is a tireless advocate for low-income and underserved people, especially Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. ICHS is proud to honor Uncle Bob with this special fund.

A thoughtful way to offer a memorial gift or honor a special person is through a gift to ICHS Foundation. Birthdays, Anniversaries, Graduations, and Retirements are all occasions that can be honored through a contribution. We will mail a card acknowledging your thoughtful gift and send you an acknowledgement for your records.

CORPORATE OR MATCHING GIFTS

You may be able to double your gift to the ICHS Foundation if your company has a matching gift program. Check with your Human Resources Department.

ICHS is not a United Way Agency, but you may write in International Community Health Services Foundation and your donation will be allocated to us.

Making a planned gift to the ICHS Foundation is an important way to express your commitment to International Community Health Services. It lets your loved ones and your community know that you believe in the work of ICHS and that access to health care is an important issue to you.

The most common method is to include the ICHS Foundation in your Last Will and Testament. To make such a gift in your Will, consult your attorney or financial advisor for advice. Please notify us of your decision to make a bequest by calling us at 206.788.3694. You will then become a part of our Legacy Society which is our way to thank you for your support.

PLANNED GIFTS
